Charles Wilder stick barometer of walnut on pine. Glazed door at the top with twin silvered brass register plates behind held in by his typical large round-headed screws. The two verniers are operated by wire pulls projecting out of the top of the barometer - both of which have been replaced.
The silvered brass / mercury thermometer appears to be a replacement as it is by Sargent & Co. of New York, but is contemporary with the barometer.
The box cistern cover has all its original mouldings, and the original iron cistern and glass tube are still present.
A very fine example of an original American stick barometer.
