A rosewood 4 dial wheel barometer, with fancy mother-of-pearl inlay around the edges, and a swan neck top pediment. There is a cast brass finial centering the pediment, and a hygrometer beneath; under that, a detachable bow-front mercury thermometer, and an 8" diameter dial. A knob to operate the set hand, and a rectangular brass bezel covering the spirit level, marked "Warranted Correct" are at the bottom.
These barometer are frequently Scottish in origin, for some reason, although no place of manufacture is listed for this one. It is a good example of a fancy barometer in fully working and original condition, and is reasonably priced.
