aneroid barometer in 8 inch diameter brass case with hanging ring at the top. The scale is of silvered brass with weather measurements in the top half and twin alcohol and mercury thermometers in the lower half. The glass, with brass pointer at the centre, has a beveled edge, and encloses the mechanism with the original blued-steel screws, lacquered brass and steel which is visible through the centre of the dial. Functional barometers were not made any better than this.
While these are the rarest and most desirable aneroid barometers, both for their beauty and functionality, I usually have 2 or 3 in stock. They all look similar to this one, but vary in diameter from 6 inches to around 9 inches
