M853 Banjo Barometer
Extremely early 2 dial, round top, wheel barometer, with the most flamboyantly engraved dial, signed Joseph Curtis of Bristol (working 1780-1800). The case of mahogany (on pine) with chequer stringing to the edges, and three very unusual fan paterae. Long mercury thermometer with a round bulb, and the 8″ dial attached to the case by 4 brass screws set into the eyes of 4 engraved roundels.
This is the earliest 2 dial wheel barometer in stock and is very rare.
