M558 Stick Barometer
Rare multiple tube stick barometer consisting of an alcohol thermometer on the left, and then a quadruple
J tube containing two 15" lengths of mercury (30" total) separated by a red dyed oil as transporting medium, with the fourth column also containing red oil, and operating on an expanded scale.
This type of barometer was made for a very few years around 1785-1795. This example, by Dominico Sala of London (working 1780-1810) has all original paper plated, and is fully working.
